When replacing the standard oil pump, both gaskets must be replaced. These are included in a complete engine gasket set, but if you only need to replace the oil pump, these gaskets are also available in a two-piece set.
For Type 4 engines, only the gasket between the cover and the oil pump can be used. An O-ring is used between the engine crankcase and the oil pump, which is not included in this set.
